    Process

Our design services are customized to your needs.

Redfish Interior Design can design something new or remodel your space to fit your needs. We understand the design process and will take you through it at your own pace. Whether you know what you want or need someone to help you with selections, we can provide full services from start to finish.

We specialize in design and project management, so we have the flexibility to work with contractors or with homeowners acting as their own general contractor. We understand universal, barrier-free design, sustainable design and ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) compliancy design so feel confident we can meet your needs.

To start, we meet with you and identify your specific needs. We identify who you are, what you want, what kind of style you may desire and your budget. Our team measures the space and can provide a concept and schematics so you can choose the best layout for you.

Once we finalize one design, we progress to the materials selection and ordering. Execution takes place to make your dreams become a reality. We work together as a team with you throughout the entire process.

To finish, we walk through the space and ensure you are happy.

Program Planning

Learning about you

  • Initial Meeting

The initial meeting consists of questions and answers between designer and client. A questionnaire should be filled out by the client.

  • Assessing Objectives

Objectives for the design are identified based on client requirements and needs. Contractor needs should be discussed at this time; sometimes the designer works with the client’s contractor and other times the designer recommends a contractor as needed.

  • Tactical Plan

The space needs to be measured. Schedules for the project should be discussed.

  • Design contract

The contract will show the scope of work, budget, responsibilities and payment plan. No work will be executed until the contract is agreed upon and signed.

Design

Creating the perfect space

  • Concept (sometimes a concept is presented to the client based on their specific needs)

  • Schematics (drawings to scale with a variety of designs that will work within your space)

  • Floor Plan, Elevations (minimal needs if there are no existing plans)

  • Optional Construction and/or Mechanical Drawings (needed when structural changes are necessary and/or lighting or electrical changes are necessary)

  • Optional 3-D Hand Perspectives and/or Color Renderings (wanted generally on a new build or visualization of space is desired)

Execution

Bringing it all together

  • Material Product Selection and Ordering (cabinetry, countertops, fixtures, backsplash, etc.)

  • Specs (specifications for products to be ordered as requested by the client)

Final Approval:

  • Identify any outstanding items

  • Walk through the space with you and agree you are fully happy with the outcome!
